Sale of Goods Act, 1930 – First Unit Detailed Analysis 1. Introduction Before 1930, contracts relating to sale of goods were part of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 . To give more clarity, the Sale of Goods Act, 1930 was enacted and came into force on 1st July 1930 . Based on English Sale of Goods Act, 1893 .
