Introduction to Copyright 1. Conceptual Basis Meaning: Copyright is a form of intellectual property right (IPR) . It gives the creator of original literary, artistic, musical, or dramatic works, films, and sound recordings the exclusive right to reproduce, publish, perform, adapt, or translate their work. It protects the expression of an idea , not the idea itself. ЁЯСЙ Example: If you write a poem, copyright protects your exact words, not the theme of "love" or "friendship".
